       The following activities were done.

  • Summer Coaching Camp in Table Tennis was conducted from 30.04.07 to 31.05.07 in which 15 players at various levels were participated.  

  • A meeting on Post NAAC activities was held on 20.6.07. The President, Secretary, Correspondent of the Managing Committee and Dr. T. Gopalakrishna Rao also attended and enlightened their views.                                                                                    

  • Free admission was given for the meritorious students and also the facility was extended to the students who are excellent in sports and games.

  • 15 students were selected for ICICI Prudential Life Insurance in the campus interviews held on 23.06.07 and 24.06.07. 

  • A free Medical Camp was conducted at Hanuman Nagar by the NSS unit with Rotary Club on 24-6-07. Sri Kommareddy  Rambabu, President of the Managing Committee inaugurated the Camp. The members of the Managing Committee, Principal, Staff, Students, Rotary members and Medical Practitioners participated. Nearly 300 patients were examined and were distributed medicines.                                                                                                                                                                

  • Employability Training and workshop was held from 19-6-2007 to 16-7-2007. The programme was conducted by Mercury       consultants, Hyderabad. Sri Kommareddy Rambabu ,  President of the Managing Committee inaugurated the programme in        which 32 students participated. The students were trained in various skills and the valedictory was held on 16-7-07. Sri Sri Ram, CEO, Virtushe and HR Manager, K-7 Computing were present in that Programme.

  • SUO A.V. Satish participated in all India Trekking Camp held at Kashmir in July 2007.                                                             

  • Add on programme was conducted by the Department of Commerce on career opportunities from 11.06.07 to 16.07.07.          

  • An interaction programme by AIR, Vijayawada was held on 19-7-07 with the students. This was broadcasted in the 'YUVAVANI'   Programme.

  • NSS students took up traffic awareness programme from 10-7-07 to 27-7-07. The valedictory function of the programme was   held on 27-7-07 in which Sri Premkumar, Sub Divisional Police Officer, Eluru Division addressed the students.

  • A guest lecture was delivered by Dr. N. Subrahmanyeswara Rao and organized by the Department of Sanskrit on the  occasion  of Vyasa Jayanthi on 30-7-07.

  • A guest lecture was delivered by Dr. B. Nagapadmavathi on '1857 Sepoy Mutiny and its impact on Telangana' and it was organized by the Department of History on 31-07-07.

  • Sri Patti Seshayya and Sri Gadde Venkateswara Rao, Ex MLA, and freedom fighters were felicitated on the eve of 60th Independence Day on 14-08-07.

  • One day workshop on 'The Management of Natural Resources' was  organized by the Department of Geology on 27-08-07.

  • A guest lecture was delivered by Sri N. Satyanarayana and organized by the Department of Sanskrit on the occasion of Sanskrit Day on 28.08.07.

  • A Debate Competition was conducted for the final year degree students on 29.08.07 in which all the students participated. Prizes were distributed for the winners.

  • The Management on 5-09-07 felicitated the teaching staff members who have put in 25 years of service on the occasion of  Teachers Day.

  • Blood donation camp organized by the NSS, NCC and Red Ribbon club was held on 06.09.07. Youth Red Cross was also inaugurated on the same day.

  • Sri Y. Rajaram, Dept. of History participated in National Seminar on 7th and 8th September, 2007 at SKSD Mahilakalasala, Tanuku.

  • TCS Ltd. Campus interviews were held on 16th, 17th, 29th and 30th September, 2007. About 2800 students from 88 colleges  and seven Polytechnic colleges took part. 1055 participants were short listed for Group Discussion, out of which 149 were selected. 17 students from our college are selected.

  • A ten-day blood grouping camp was organized for all the Degree students by the Department of Bio-Chemistry from 14.09.07   to 24.09.07.

  • The Departments of Politics and History organized a State Level Seminar on 'Indian National Movement and a review of Post     independent India' on 22.09.07. 52 Delegates participated and 12 papers were presented.

  • The college has entered into MOU with TMI Network on 30.09.07.

  • Dr. N.V.V.S. Prasad, Department of Chemistry has received “Best Teacher Award” of the State Government on 05.10.07.

  • Add on programme was conducted by the Department of Commerce on Tally from 24.09.07 to 05.11.07.

  • Sri V.S.S. Vara Prasad, Dept. of Botany has attended a State Level Seminar at Ch.S.D. St. Theresa’s College on 10.10.07.

  • A committee constituted by Vice Chancellor, Andhra University, Visakhapatnam for according status as Research Centre visited our institution on 17-10-07. Orders are awaited.

  • A rally was organized to celebrate 150th year of the First war of Independence and observance of Patriotism on 30.10.07. In that rally Joint Collector, W.G.Dt, Freedom Fighters, NSS and NCC students participated.

  • Our NSS student volunteer Mr. V. Nagaraju, III B.A. has attended training programme at Inter State University RD selection  Camp at Jivaji University, Gwalior, M.P. from 25.10.07 to 03.11.07.

  • Sri Y. Polinaidu, Dept. of Zoology has attended the 12th World Lake Conference held at Jaipur, India on 28.10.07 to 02.11.07.

  • Our College Hockey player Mr. Mohd. Gallib participated in the Junior Nationals at Chennai, Mumbai Gold Cup at Mumbai and All India K.D Singh Babu Memorial Hockey Tournaments at Lacknow.

  • Our College won the Best Physique Team Championship and won 4 Gold Medals and one Bronze Medal. Mr. A. Tejasvi won “The Mr. Andhra University” title for the second consecutive year.

  • Our college players were selected for the district Tennis, Kabaddi and Cricket teams.

  • Cadet Dhan Sundeep was adjudged the Best Cadet at CAJC Camp at Nuzvid.

  • Dr. C. Ravi, Department of Geology and Mr. V. Venkateswara Rao, Department of Physics attended one-day workshop on “New methodologies of Assessment and Accreditation of Colleges” at V S M College Ramachandrapuram on 3-11-07.

  • Our cadets participated in APSRTC Platinum Jubilee Walk and 8 cadets have participated in an Army Attachment Camp at Hyderabad from 01.11.07 to 15.11.07.

  • The Andhra University Central Zone Foot-ball Tournament cum University selections were held from 10.11.07 to 12.11.07.

  • A three-day Programme was organized by the Department of Library and Information Sciences in connection with 40th Library Week Celebrations from 14-11-2007 to 16-11-2007. In this connection a book exhibition is arranged in the campus. Different   competitions such as Book Review etc., are conducted to the students.

  • Dr. D.V. Rao was invited to deliver lectures in International Conference held in Germany. He went on a six week programme in  his post doctoral work. I am proud that he is a faculty in the dept. of Physics.

  • UGC has also considered the proposal to start Post Graduate Course in Bio Medical Physics.

  • A one day workshop by IQAC was held for all NAAC accredited colleges which were graced by Prof. VS Prasad, Director, NAAC and Dr. K. Lakshmi Narayana, CCE.

  • A week long National Conference was organized by the PG Dept. of Maths. The UGC has also accorded permission to conduct Two National seminars to be funded by it in the coming academic year.

  • The University has accorded Research Center status to the PG dept. of Commerce and Political Science.

  • Mr. A. Amareswar & D. Kurmatully won Bronze Medal in All India Inter-University Competitions at Punjab.

  • A number of oncampus drives were held. It is a privilege to have all the three leading software companies The TCS Ltd., WIPRO & INFOSYS to be on campus for recruiting graduates. This opportunity was extended to the students of other districts and almost 1000 students from various colleges took part and about 900 students were placed.

  • 160 students of our college have been suitably placed in various organizations with 45 students in the 3 leading software companies namely TCS Ltd, WIPRO & INFOSYS.

  • JKC under the IEG has given status of District Coordinating College at degree level to us. A number of career oriented programs were conducted for the students to expose them to the sources of employability. JKC has also conducted a 23 day  workshop for both PG & UG students.

  • A Science Awareness Program for high school students was held for 2 days in which school children were made to feel the science laboratory apparatus.

  • Sri Bangaru Venkata Rao, Attender, popular dooper of Sri N T Rama Rao participated in 'Super dooper" E-TV program and he won the first prize in the competition.                                           

  • Mr. M. Guru Pratap Reddy, Lecturer in English participated in a six day faculty enablement work shop conducted by IEG - JKC & Globarena Technologies Pvt. Ltd., held at sir C R R College of Engineering from 17/12/2007 to 22/12/2007.
